Celina is CEO of the Zindi data science competition platform. For the last 9 years, Celina has acted at the forefront of advanced uses of data for financial inclusion globally. Celina is from San Francisco, California, but has lived and worked around the world, including Latin America and Asia, and now Cape Town in South Africa.

Dr. Morris has extensive experience in research, teaching, communication and policy, which equips her to approach problem solving with multiple lenses to find implementable solutions to any given problem. Taryn brings strong a statistical background, nifty data skills and sharp critical thinking to her work. She has a keen interest in using data science for good, particularly to address the increasing environmental problems facing our society today.

Amy is a physics graduate. She is now entering the world of data science with Ixio and Zindi. She is originally from Durban but is now making a life for herself in Cape Town. Amy loves a good problem and enjoys being part of the whole solution process.

Therveshan is a Data Scientist who has a background and degrees in both finance and statistics. He is very interested in the applications of Data Science tools in Sports and Betting. Therveshan is currently based at our Johannesburg offices.

Martine is a business effectiveness junkie constantly searching for new ways to improve the operational environment. She has in-depth experience in business systems migration projects, providing business analysis and project support to development teams servicing the African ISP market. Martine is an independent project coordinator at iXio Analytics where she coaches the team in agile management practices and supports data analysis projects. She enjoys living in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town with her family and two cats, named Speedy and Batman.

Megan founded Ixio in 2012 after seeing a need for strong, data-led modelling and analytics in business.
As Chief Scientist at Ixio Analytics, Megan leads our advanced modelling programs and coordinates the technical requirements for our clients.
Her background in Evolutionary Biology allows her to bring a rigorous scientific approach to analytical problem solving.
Megan is highly regarded in the industry and contributes regularly to data and analytics conferences, both locally and internationally.
She takes a keen interest in environmental issues and is an avid surfer.

Ekow was previously the Chief Analytics Officer for the Retail and Business Bank, Barclays Africa where he was responsible for harmonising and repurposing the bank’s Analytics and Data Science functions.
An ex-oilfield engineer, Ekow has C-suite experience in strategy consulting and private equity investing and brings a deep commercial understanding of several industries. He is passionate about data and getting things done. Ekow is also a published author of four novels - Dying in New York, White Wahala, The God Who Made Mistakes and Yellowbone.

Glenn’s PhD research resulted in several published papers and considerable recognition in the field of ecological modelling.
He recently worked as a research associate for SAEON (South African Earth Observation Network) collating multiple disparate datasets to form better views of the drivers of ecological change over time.
Glenn brings a rigorous statistical background, expertise in cutting-edge modelling and excellent research and data skills.

Eyram studied Computer Science and prior to joining Ixio, developed tailored software solutions for several organizations.
At Ixio Analytics, Eyram develops advanced modelling solutions to business problems while ensuring these solutions are executable.
His weapons of choice are Java, C# and Python.
In his free time, Eyram thinks about how to solve educational problems with technology.

Kingston studied Computer Science and prior to joining Ixio, facilitated lectures and discussion sessions at tertiary level during which time, he also developed a point of sale system for the institution.
At Ixio Analytics, Kingston uses his extensive software development skills to engineer smart data modelling solutions for data driven decisions amongst businesses.
